What is your Topcoder story?

I first learned about Topcoder about one year ago while preparing for a job interview at Google, but I have not competed until this past spring. The DNA Sequencing Marathon Match attracted my attention, both by its potential scientific impact, and by the prize pool. It was fun, but a lot of effort, and in the last days of the match I was kicked out of the prize zone. A bit disappointed, I attempted to compete in Development challenges and this was a blast! Even though I had to learn a lot of technologies, new to me, right away, I've managed to participate in 22 challenges within several months, winning 11 of them, and taking second place in another 6. Not to mention the victory in the Bonus round of TCO16. (so pity that I have missed the regular rounds :)

Why Topcoder?

Because it is fun, challenging, and brings money.

Tell us about something in your life, outside of Topcoder, that you are most proud of.

I got Master degree in Physics, PhD in Chemical Engineering, and I am self-trained software developer. I love to travel and to try new things.

We asked our finalists to play the word association game. We gave them a word and they gave us the first word that popped into their head.
